Founder & CEO
During the last 15 years, Niklas has worked in countries such as Russia, Mozambique, Guatemala, and Bolivia. Niklas career has mainly been with the United Nations. Most recently he was a regional specialist for the United Nations Development Group. He has also held positions with Sida, NGOs and in the private sector.
Niklas’ expertise is in business development, results based management and public diplomacy. He has worked with the implementation of the Global Goals.
Niklas holds a MSc in Business and Administration from Stockholm University. Niklas speaks Russian, German, Spanish, English and Portuguese beyond his native Swedish.
Founder & Partner
Edvard is a lawyer and a development economist. He has a strong track record in the implementation of big donor funded development projects and has also led a large EU initiative focused on supporting start-ups based on materials research and technology. Edvard has founded and/or been the CEO of several research-based companies and social initiatives. He has substantive civil society experience from various roles including as a board member of ActionAid.
Edvard holds an L.L.M, an L.L.B and a BA Business and Economics from Lund University, as well as an MSc International Development and Humanitarian Emergencies from the London School of Economics.
Advisor - Communication
Jasmin has ample experience in human rights, advocacy and development. Her professional experience spans development, politics and communication. She has worked with these themes in the private- as well as the non-profit sector. Notable experiences include working as a case officer for a big NGO as well as a as a communications director for a CSR-company. She has also held several board positions. Her main expertise is in EU-Sino relations, project development and gender issues.
Jasmin holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Sciences and a Masters in Communication. She is currently a board member at Poseidon (public housing corporation) and project manager for a development project based in Belarus. Jasmin is fluent in Swedish, English and Persian.
Representative - Central Asia
Edil was a key figure in the pro-democracy movement in Kyrgyzstan. In 2012, after democratic change, Edil served as interim Minister of social development followed by a period as Deputy minister, responsible for children, people with disabilities and elderly. In 2007, he was the recipient of the American Bar Association Rule of Law award presented to him by the US Supreme Court justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
He is a frequent commentator on public issues. He is currently active on good governance, transparency and human rights.
Edil hold a BA in politics from Kyrgyz State National University. He is fluent in Kirgiz, Turkish, Russian and English and has an intermediate level in Swedish.
Representative - West Africa
In 2009, Achenyo left a successful corporate carrer in the US to move to Nigeria where she founded Greennovative Chain prodiving research and advocacy services in climate change mitigation. Later, she founded MitiMeth, a for-profit social enterprise based in Ibadan, Nigeria. It creates eco-friendly handicrafts like home décor and personal accessories from weeds prevalent on Nigeria’s waterways. In 2014, she won the Cartier Initiative Award for women in Sub-Saharan Africa. Her TED Talk has over a 1.7 million views.
Achenyo holds an MBA from Cornell University, an MS Applied Computer Science from Illinois State University and an BSc Computer Science from Obafemi Awolowo University.
Representative - Central America and Colombia
Tom is an experienced analyst and researcher who has worked within the international development sector in the United Kingdom and Latin America.In particular, he has worked on social and economic development programmes including the UK's National Citizen Service. Tom's expertise is in data analysis and project management and has a strong track record of implementing innovation projects. He is fluent in Spanish, English and French.
Tom holds an MSc in International Development and Humanitarian Emergencies from the London School of Economics, as well as a BSc in Politics from Brunel University and the University of Helsinki.
Representative - South East Asia
Jan Abrahamsson has more than 10 years’ experience, focusing on entrepreneurship and innovation systems. Jan has a Ph.D. in business administration, focusing on international entrepreneurship and business model innovation. He has also held managerial and board positions in several startups and has been a business consultant in business model design and innovation.
Jan has a strong track record in business as well as in academia. His achievements include publishing scholarly papers and graduate level teaching in prestigious business schools in Sweden, France and Thailand. He has consistently delivered high quality results in his private sector career. Jan is based in Bangkok, Thailand.
Representative - Andean Region
Ana is an expert in local economic development with Lima, Peru as her base. Her emphasis is on integrated rural development with an emphasis on sustainable business opportunities. Inclusive processes and gender mainstreaming are other key competencies. Ana´s career spans the last 10 years in most of Latin America. She has worked for clients such as multi- and bilateral donors, NGOs, government agencies and private companies.
Ana has an engineering degree with honours in agronomy from Madrid´s Polytechnic University and a MSc from the same University. She is currently finishing her doctorate in human geography at the Complutense University of Madrid. Dorrego Carlón has a substantive publication record and is currently part of a research group at National Agrarian University of Peru (UNALM).
Erik is a graduate student at Lund University in Peace and Conflict studies. His studies focus on peace building and security. In parallel with his studies Erik has been active in several civil society initiatives focusing on inclusion and human rights. He has also been an intern at Sida as a desk and training officer, a role in which he excelled.
Prior to his studies Erik served for the Finnish Armed forces as a Peacekeeper with the United Nations Interim force in Lebanon. Erik is fluent in Swedish, Finish and English.
Representative - East Africa
Anson brings over a decade of experience across a range of adjacent industries. In 2016, he left a position in management consulting to pursue the interests he cultivated during his formative years living in Kenya and as a MSc candidate at the London School of Economics (LSE) where he helped launch the Inaugural Africa Summit and Research Conference on Entrepreneurship. After leading the design and operationalization of Sauti Africa -- an award-winning, mobile-based trade information and social accountability platform for East Africa’s SMEs -- he continues to help others in East Africa expand their impactful solutions to drive inclusive market systems development.
